Gun powder flask discovery
We are excited to show you a recent discovery from our last trip. Pictured is a powder flask discovered on the Atocha site near the Bank of Spain. The powder flask would be used to pour gunpowder into an arquebus or a musket.
The flask usually had a hook on the side so it could easily be fastened to a belt. Based on shape and previous discoveries we are confident this is what it is.
